Text reads:
I'd been holding it for hours; the heat from my hand
causing it to change shape slightly and its colour
to run and stain my skin. Three minutes later she
arrived: beautiful. She brought the hanky to her mouth,
and I caught a glimpse of the pink of her tongue between
the red of her lips, as she used her saliva to dampen
the cotton. Taking my hand, with a gentleness that nearly
reduced me to tears, she slowly peeled back my fingers
one by one and removed the, now unrecognisable, object
from my hand. "What are we going to do with you?"
she asked, wiping the redness away.
